Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary collections across inpatient and outpatient settings in the Coachella Valley, including Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Indio. You will join a high-volume healthcare environment, participate in training, and support lab specimen handling with attention to safety and compliance.

This contract-to-hire role requires flexibility for weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage, with training on 1st shift and opportunities to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active CPT I License (Certified Phlebotomy Technician I).
• 1 year of phlebotomy in hospital settings or 3 years in high-volume outpatient phlebotomy.
• Venipuncture and capillary collection across all age groups.
• Ability to work weekends/holidays and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.
• Conduct phlebotomy procedures in inpatient settings (pediatrics, ICU, high-volume units).
• Handle difficult blood draws in challenging clinical settings with professionalism.
• Process and label specimens accurately for lab delivery.
• Adhere to compliance, safety, and infection control protocols.
