Actalent is seeking a Lab Assistant Certified Phlebotomy Technician for an in-patient hospital setting in West Covina, CA. The role focuses on venipuncture, specimen processing, and data entry in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities include pediatric and infant collections, blood cultures, and adherence to safety protocols. The position is full-time with AM shifts, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis, and offers on-site work.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in phlebotomy techniques including venipuncture and blood cultures.
• California CPT certification current and active.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong data entry and LS/LIS familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Perform venipunctures on adult and pediatric patients in an in-patient hospital environment.
• Perform micro-collections on infants (finger/heel sticks) per protocol.
• Process specimens: labeling, handling, and preparation for analysis.
• Enter data accurately using LIS and computer terminals.
• Maintain professional communication with patients and clinical staff.
• Follow safety and quality standards in all procedures.
