You will follow established procedures and maintain specimen integrity while adhering to safety regulations. The role demands 2+ years of phlebotomy experience, pediatric and geriatric exposure, and compliance with OSHA standards.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understands physicians' orders and matches requisitions to specimens.
• Packages and stores specimens for transport and maintains specimen integrity.
• Complies with OSHA and DEP regulations and attends annual trainings.
