Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative

Contract Details:
  • Duration: 2 Months
  • Location: Weatherford, TX
  • Work Type: Onsite, Monday-Friday 7 am - 4 pm / Day Shift
Job Description:

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) is the face of the company to patients, whether they are there for routine health checks or important health decisions. The PSR I draws high-quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and follows established procedures. They interact directly with patients, creating a trustworthy environment, explaining procedures, and drawing blood safely and accurately. The PSR I demonstrates leadership, focuses on process excellence, and maintains confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely under the supervision of the area supervisor.
  2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  3. Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens confidently, following established practices.
  4. Maintain required records and documentation.
  5. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training preferred: medical assistant or paramedic.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, Washington).
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of experience; 1+ year preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
  • Extensive processing skills and experience with difficult draws, including pediatric and geriatric patients, with 3+ years of phlebotomy experience.
  • Experience with Reference labs such as LabCorp, CPL, PathGroup.
Additional Details:

Must be skilled in high-volume patient draws, especially pediatric and geriatric, with extensive processing skills and experience with difficult draws. Reference lab experience is required.
