Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join our Patient Service Center in Florida. You will perform skilled blood collections, collect specimens, and ensure accurate data entry while delivering exceptional customer service.

The schedule is 25 hours weekly, Mon-Fri 7am-12pm, with rotating weekends. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or completed training, or 3 months of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Able to pass color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other Duties as assigned.
