Job summary

Labcorp in Detroit, Michigan is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, collect specimens for tests, and ensure accurate data entry.

The role offers Monday–Friday schedule 8:30am–5:00pm, with travel to additional sites as needed, plus opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy experience are required or a certification acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screening, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
