Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 10296 Bend Rd. Saint Louis, MO. You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and ensure accurate data entry, while providing excellent patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and strong communication skills. Opportunities exist in Patient Service Centers or client offices with growth potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
