Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a phlebotomy support professional to collect, identify and label venous and capillary blood specimens for laboratory analysis at the patient service centers, main hospital facility, and client sites.

The role includes capillary glucose testing, clerical duties, and ensuring proper handling and transport of specimens, while maintaining patient service excellence and compliance with lab systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Training in phlebotomy procedures preferred.
• Ability to obtain, identify, label and process venous/capillary samples as described.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples for lab analysis from patients of all ages.
• Provides customer service to patients and stakeholders of the laboratory department.
• Assists in training phlebotomy students, nursing or laboratory personnel as directed.
• Demonstrates compliance with corporate, departmental and job-specific requirements.
• Identifies problems related to work activities and participates in QA/QI efforts.
