Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Cedar Point, NC. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen preparation, and accurate data entry.

The position emphasizes excellent patient service and teamwork, with travel to other sites as needed. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a phlebotomy certification or training, or 6 months of experience, is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6+ months experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and travel to additional sites as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other analyses.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis and maintain logs.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Provide excellent patient service and support to the team.
