Labcorp in Eden, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, data entry, and occasional travel to additional sites.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, and either a phlebotomy certification/training or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
