Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Ashland, KY. The role involves blood collection, specimen handling, and delivering high-quality patient service in a client-office setting.

You will perform venipuncture, data entry, and support billing while traveling to additional sites as needed. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, with preferred 2+ years in outpatient labs and a certified program from an accredited agency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
