Job summary

Labcorp in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. You will collect specimens, enter patient data, process billing information, and maintain accurate logs with a focus on superior patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma (or GED), phlebotomy training or certification, and CPT certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1+ years' experience.
• National CPT certification.
• In lieu of work experience, certification from an accredited agency is acceptable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
