LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. The position involves blood collection, specimen handling, patient interaction, and performing data entry in a client-office setting.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of phlebotomy experience; a phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
