Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. This casual – PRN position requires performing blood collections and processing specimens while delivering excellent patient service.

Responsibilities include data entry, specimen preparation, and coordinating with patients and staff. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy training or certification, with preferred 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
