Job summary

Labcorp in Florida is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary collections, ensure accurate data entry, and provide exceptional patient service in a Patient Service Center.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and Phlebotomy certification; one year of experience preferred. The role may involve travel and requires reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other Duties as assigned.
