Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Kendallville, IN. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, processing specimens and data entry, and delivering excellent customer service in a patient-facing setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and either phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program with experience. A PST incentive bonus may be offered, with a schedule that includes occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
