Job summary

Labcorp in Kendallville, IN seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and billing processing.

Travel to additional sites may be required and weekend coverage includes rotating Saturdays. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, adherence to protocols, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
