Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Heart of Ohio Capital Park 2365 Innis rd. Gahanna, OH 43224. Work Schedule: 8:30am-5:00pm (M,T,W,F) 8:30am-7:30pm(Thur) Rotating Saturdays 8am-1pm.

Responsibilities include venipuncture collection, processing specimens, data entry, and assisting with billing while delivering excellent patient service. Prior phlebotomy training or certification is preferred; 1 year of phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
