Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Heart of Ohio-Whitehall Yearling HS in Whitehall, OH. You will perform blood collections and prepare specimens for testing, while delivering exceptional patient service in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, plus 3 months or more experience. Wakeful attention to data entry and billing processes is expected, with occasional travel to other sites as necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
