Job summary

Mercy Health’s Jewish Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory Department. You will draw quality blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and handle clerical tasks to keep the department efficient.

Responsibilities include order entry, result look-up, report generation, and answering internal and external calls. Travel to off-site locations may be required. High School diploma or GED is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One year of phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for testing.
• Perform order entry, result look-up, and report generation.
• Conduct clerical duties and maintain department organization.
• Answer calls and communicate with internal/external customers in a friendly manner.
• Travel to off-site locations as needed.
