Job summary

Medical City Decatur is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our lab team. You will perform phlebotomy procedures, collect and process specimens, and support clerical tasks as needed. Reports to Lead Phlebotomist, Lab Manager, and Laboratory Director.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, drawing blood, labeling specimens, and preparing samples for multiple departments. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred, with certification considered in lieu of experience.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills including finger sticks, venipuncture, and specimen collection.
• Ability to greet patients and instruct on specimen collection methods.
• Attention to accurate specimen labeling and data entry.
