Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Lafayette, GA. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service. Travel to additional sites may be required, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• 2+ years experience as a phlebotomist.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to additional sites as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
