Responsibilities

• Obtains quality blood samples using phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
• Ensures accurate patient identification, labeling, processing and transport of specimens.
• May assist in patient care during adverse reactions and emergencies.
• Communicates procedures clearly to patients and care teams to ensure satisfaction.
• Handles sharps and biohazardous materials following regulatory requirements.
• Performs test administration and specimen collection as assigned.
