Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Salem Hospital is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to collect and process blood specimens for laboratory testing. The role runs Monday–Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, onsite at 81 Highland Avenue, Salem, MA.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a phlebotomy course is preferred, and no prior experience is required. Excellent patient communication and strict HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred.
• No experience required, but phlebotomy course is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain any required licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quality blood samples using phlebotomy methods for all ages.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and proper specimen labeling, handling, and transport.
• Assist in patient care emergencies and respond promptly when needed.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and care teams to maintain satisfaction.
