Job summary

Mass General Brigham Salem Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to support a section of the phlebotomy team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to practice standards. The role includes instruction, problem solving, and operational tasks as delegated.

Qualifications include 3–5 years phlebotomy experience, a High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Phlebotomy, and National Certification. Work is onsite with a 7:30am–4:00pm schedule and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Phlebotomy preferred.
• Phlebotomy Technician national certification - HR Only required.
• Experience: 3–5 years in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily activities of phlebotomists and students, with a focus on safe patient care and satisfaction.
• Coordinates workflow to ensure timely collection of specimens and staff deployment or coverage.
• Assists with difficult draws, research kits, and special procedures.
• Signs off on training and annual competency documentation.
