Job summary

Labcorp in Linden, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team, performing blood collections and specimen handling across age groups in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. You will provide customer service and ensure accurate data entry and specimen processing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; experience is welcome. A PST incentive plan may offer a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
