Job summary

Mercy Health's Defiance Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory Department. The Phlebotomist draws quality blood samples from patients, prepares specimens for lab testing, performs clerical duties, and supports order entry, result look-up, and report generation.

The role requires high school degree, phlebotomy certification preferred but not required, and experience; travel to off-site locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Ability to travel to off-site locations

Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Enter orders and look up results in the system; generate reports as needed.
• Answer internal and external calls in a friendly, helpful manner while maintaining accuracy
