Job summary

Labcorp in Hackettstown, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Work schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating Saturdays 7:00am–12:30pm. You will perform blood collections, prepare specimens and provide superior patient service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or trained program, or 3+ months experience; 6+ months preferred. Labcorp offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
