Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school equivalence preferred.
• One year of full-time phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Certification as a phlebotomist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, fingerstick, heelstick) with minimal patient discomfort.
• Identifies patients and labels specimen tubes accurately.
• Ensures STAT priority and timely transport of specimens to the lab.
• Uses handheld system to select patient orders and print labels at bedside.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the phlebotomy areas.
