Job summary

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, fingerstick, heelstick) per South Shore Hospital procedures.
• Identifies patients and accurately labels specimen tubes.
• Determines priority of STAT draws and ensures timely transport to the lab.
• Maintains accurate order entry and generates collection lists as needed.
• Trains new staff and interns and supports department workflow.
