Job summary

Qualifications

• Equivalent of four years of high school education preferred.
• One year of full-time phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Certified or certified eligible with National Phlebotomy Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, fingerstick, and heelstick) per established procedures.
• Identifies patients, labels tubes, and uses handheld/barcode systems.
• Prioritizes STAT draws and ensures prompt transport to the lab.
• Processes orders, prints NCC lists, and verifies data accuracy.
• Organizes work, completes shift workload statistics, and keeps areas tidy.
• Assists coworkers, trains new employees, and may greet patients at reception.
• Follows all safety policies, PPE usage, and Infection Control procedures.
• Maintains phlebotomy supplies and equipment cleanliness daily.

Education

Equivalent of four (4) years of high school education preferred.

One (1) year of full time phlebotomy experience preferred.
