Job summary

McFarland Clinic is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Phlebotomist in our Marshalltown office. Responsibilities include collecting blood samples by venipuncture, heel or finger stick, and obtaining urine and other specimens for in-house testing or reference labs.

Education: High School Diploma, GED or HiSET. NHA or ASCP phlebotomy cert preferred. 1 year phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced outpatient lab preferred. Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:15 AM–5:00 PM, variable.

Qualifications

• NHA or ASCP phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced clinical outpatient lab preferred.
• Mon–Fri schedule, 7:15 AM–5:00 PM; part-time position.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood samples by venipuncture, heel or finger stick.
• Obtains urine and other specimens from patients.
• Prepares specimens for in-house testing or send-out to reference labs.
• Performs receptionist and other clerical duties as needed.
