Phlebotomist – Ballantyne, NC

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Ballantyne, NC. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications: Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 3 months or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
