Job summary

Labcorp in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team with scheduled shifts on Tuesday and Friday. You will perform blood collections, ensure accurate data entry, and deliver exceptional patient service in a client office or Patient Service Center.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens for various tests, processing payments, and maintaining records. Strong communication and reliability are essential, with travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training required, or 3+ months experience.
• Ability to travel to additional sites as needed.
• Must pass color vision test and demonstrate color discernment.

Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. Work Schedule: Tuesday 8:00am – 2:00pm and Friday 6:00am – 10:00am.

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or a Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and be the face of the company.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
