Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Phlebotomist-Outpatient for the EDH Main Hospital in Naperville, IL. This part-time role (0.5 FTE, ~20 hrs/wk) covers Monday–Friday with alternating weekends and holidays, starting between 7am–8am to 3:30pm or 4:30pm.

You will collect, log and label specimens, perform pre-analytical processing, and enter orders in the lab system while coordinating with staff at Edward Hospital and affiliated outpatient facilities.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training completed with at least 100 clinical hours.
• Current CPR (BLS) by the American Heart Association.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect, log and label specimens for testing under supervision.
• Perform pre-analytical processing and ordering of specimens.
• Register patient information and orders in the computer system.
• Arrange specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.
