Kingfisher Recruiting seeks an experienced Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, and maintain strict sample handling procedures. The role involves traveling to multiple sites throughout Northwest Indiana with mileage reimbursed.

Candidates should have a valid state phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting, and a HS diploma or GED. Benefits are available; contract position with potential for permanent placement.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer calls and read laboratory results as needed.
