Job summary

Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist to support blood collection efforts at our Merrillville, IN sites. This contract role may extend to permanent placement based on performance. The position requires travel within Northwest Indiana, mileage reimbursement, and a clean driving record.

Phlebotomy certification is mandatory with 6 months of venipuncture experience. Expect responsibilities including specimen labeling, centrifugation, and proper storage.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge specimens and document maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
