Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Red Bluff, CA. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to additional sites as needed. Excellent customer service is essential.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a valid California Phlebotomy License. Preference given to candidates with Labcorp experience and prior phlebotomy work history.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License.
• In lieu of state license, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health may meet license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed
