Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Phlebotomist at our Vista, CA location. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups and prepare specimens for testing. Travel to additional sites may be required, and you will provide exceptional customer service and accurate data entry.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and a valid California Phlebotomy License. Preference given to candidates with 1+ months of phlebotomy experience and prior Labcorp work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License is required.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
