Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Chula Vista, CA. You will perform skilled venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages, enter data accurately, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens for drug screens and other tests, processing specimens, and traveling to additional sites as needed. A high school diploma and CA phlebotomy license are required; Labcorp experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License.
• Experience as phlebotomist preferred.
• Labcorp experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
