Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team at 675 Camino De Los Mares, Suite 302, San Clemente, CA 92673. The role involves blood collection, specimen handling, data entry, and ensuring accurate patient records.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:15 am–2:15 pm, with potential overtime and weekend rotations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a California phlebotomy license; experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid California Phlebotomy license.
• An application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
