Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Edgewater, MD. Schedule: Monday–Friday 9:00am–1:00pm and alternating Saturdays 8:00am–2:00pm. Duty includes blood collection, specimen processing, and data entry.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or related training, and 3+ months of phlebotomy experience. Strong customer service and communication skills required.

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned
