Job summary

Labcorp in Gambrills, MD is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our team, with a schedule Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm and every other Saturday 7:00am-11:00am. The role requires phlebotomy certification or training or experience, and involves collecting blood, processing specimens, and accurate data entry.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and exceptional customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist are acceptable.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
