Job summary

Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida is seeking a dedicated laboratory team member to perform technical procedures, collect specimens, and ensure accurate test processing at the Estero Center.

The role requires a high school diploma (GED) with 2 years lab experience; Medical Assistant background is preferred. Ability to travel or be reassigned as needed is included in the job scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant preferred.
• Two years laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing procedures including daily and monthly quality-control.
• Collect specimens for analysis including venipuncture and capillary collections.
• Prepare collected specimens for analysis and maintain logs.
• Distribute and deliver lab results to providers.
• Maintain compliance with Universal Precautions and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain all lab instruments in proper working condition.
