Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proof of Phlebotomy Certification.
• 1–3 years’ experience collecting and processing specimens for testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional behavior and rapport with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Verifies test requisitions through the EHR and clinician orders.
• Obtains blood specimens via venipuncture or finger sticks.
• Follows up on results daily to address issues with specimens.
• Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique and proper handling.
• Monitors refrigerator/freezer temps and documents readings.
• Travels between clinics to cover laboratory personnel as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
