Job summary

Community Health of South Florida, Inc. in Miami, FL is hiring Laboratory Services Support Staff to assist with specimen collection, processing and related billing tasks under supervision.

This non-exempt, hourly role supports patient care operations in a fast-paced lab environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy experience, CPR certification, and familiarity with Intergy billing; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a standard high school or GED equivalent.
• Six (6) months phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Certified Lab Assistant or Certified Phlebotomist.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare, Kid Care, other Health Insurance, sliding fee scale and financial setup preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs blood drawing and processing duties.
• Post laboratory billing and payments into Intergy.
• Maintain laboratory work areas clean and orderly.
• Accurately identifies the assigned lab based on HMO contract.
• Order and stock supplies and issue supplies as needed.
