Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Phlebotomist for Harbour View Medical Center to collect blood samples, prepare specimens for testing, and perform related clerical tasks to support efficient lab operations.

The role requires high school education, flexibility to travel to off-site locations, and a customer-service mindset. Experience in phlebotomy is preferred but not mandatory, with a commitment to compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide courteous customer service.
• Collect specimens according to procedures and ensure proper processing.
• Identify patients accurately and verify identity.
• Handle data entry and processing of specimens (labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing) as ordered.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks, stock, and answering phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
