Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Phlebotomist for Western Branch Family Practice in Chesapeake, VA. The role draws blood, prepares specimens for testing, and performs clerical tasks to keep the Laboratory Department efficient.

You will enter orders, lookup results, and support the team with friendly, accurate service. Qualifications include a High School Degree or GED; Phlebotomist certification is preferred but not required; experience is welcome but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience not required but preferred.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• Customer service in retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with respectful customer service.
• Collect specimens according to procedures and ensure proper processing.
• Identify patients and match identity with service for safety.
• Data entry and processing of specimens (labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing).
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks and phone duties.
