Job summary

Mercy Health Marshall County Medical Pavilion is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Department. You will draw blood samples, prepare specimens, and perform clerical duties to keep the lab running efficiently.

The role requires attention to accuracy, good customer service, and the ability to travel to off-site locations as needed. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; phlebotomy certification is optional.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required.
• One year phlebotomy or customer service experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner.
• Collects specimens according to procedures and ensures proper handling.
• Identifies patients accurately and matches identity with the service for safety.
• Performs data entry and processing of specimens as ordered.
• Performs clerical duties such as inventory checks and answering phones.
