Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH seeks a Phlebotomist for the Lima Medical Office Building at 770 W High. The Phlebotomist will draw blood, prepare specimens for lab tests, and handle clerical tasks to keep the department efficient.

Qualified candidates may have phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma; certification is preferred but not required. Travel to off-site locations is possible as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred but not required.
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for testing.
• Perform clerical duties: order entry, result look-up, report generation, and call handling.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as requested by test orders.
